Data protection tips

  • Use the latest version of your browser.
  • Navigate on known websites.
  • Do not leave your computer or mobile phone unattended while connected.
  • Do not agree to run programs if they are downloaded without you requesting this.
  • Be aware of hoaxes (virus scams). (For expert users).
  • Protect your personal data, contact details, financial information, etc.

Physical supports (start-up disk)

  • It is important not to keep your backup copy in the same place as your computer as you could lose them both if there were to be an accident.
  • It is strongly recommended that you always keep a start-up disk to hand and, if necessary, the operating system to install. If you do, you can sometimes correct an error or at least save any new information not saved in the last backup copy.
  • You must create a new start-up disk every time that you perform a critical system update.
  • Also keep the installation CD handy in case errors cannot be corrected and the system must be reinstalled.

Software versions (Operating system)

You should also keep your operating system and software up-to-date, installing the recommended updates.

Manufacturers often update their software as errors are detected once it is in widespread use. They also enhance security measures, so all recommended updates should be installed to keep the system stable and secure from potential attacks.

Privacy and data protection policy

VidaCaixa fully complies with current legislation on the protection of personal data and with the confidentiality commitments inherent to banking activity.

The personal data collected will only be processed and/or transferred for the aforementioned purpose and always with the consent of the user or customer.
